"Nervous Of Everything But NOT Film", Joash Mageto.


Joash Mageto is a practicing cinematographer, who has graduated from Kibera Film School (KFS), KFS CLASS OF 2011. His passion is making short/feature length films and documentaries, both as a writer, director and cinematographer. His taste and entrance into the world of film began from his days as an investigative cameraman/journalist where his stories were re-edited until they lost meaning, on local TV stations.

He has shot tens of short films, a number of documentaries and been part as behind the scenes cinematographer, and production stills photographer to date.
His latest work is a series of short films he is fundraising on Indiegogo, to start shooting and they will be shot using Scarlet-x (4K), and 5D mac III.

He received an award of best short drama for the short film "The Inlaws" from slum Film festival, Nairobi in 2012. This documentary also won "Do you know the water you drink" during KUJ awards 200.

Currently he is a cinematography trainer, and in-charge of social networking at Kibera Film School.


Joash does what he does best,,,cinematography.

Joash says, "lots of things make him nervous but Film is not one of them, for i am sick for film"

Back To School And Back To Work.

After the Christmas holidays it is back to school and back to making films.
